This section covers setting up a Navisworks coordination model and exporting clash detection results.
For this tutorial, we’ll use a coordination model with two linked models: an HVAC model (green) and a plumbing model (pink). Clashes have been left intentionally between the ducts and pipes.
We isolate each of the two MEP model in a 3D view, and then use the Navisworks exporter to export these model into an .nwc Navisworks file.
When using the Navisworks exporter, specify the exporting parameters, particularly the coordinates. Choose either internal or shared coordinates and stick to this choice for all future exports to Navisworks.
